Kyle Lee

Executive Chef

Currently the Executive Chef at The Sixteenth in the Pirata Group, Kyle led the opening team, managed front and back of house staff, and collaborated with the marketing team to enhance restaurant performance. Previously, he held key positions at Mei Ume in Four Seasons Hotel London, Restaurant de Laurent in Hotel Café Royal London, Devonshire Club, W Hotel London, and Sushi No’en, consistently demonstrating his ability to develop menus, oversee kitchen operations, manage finances, and train staff. Kyle holds a Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality Management from the University of Derby and a Higher National Diploma in Hospitality Management from the London Hotel School.Alongside his dedication to creating exceptional dining experiences, Kyle is also an avid fan of the football club Manchester United.

Kage Komatsu

Restaurant Manager

Meet Kage Komatsu, the vibrant and dedicated restaurant manager at Honjokko. With a burning passion for creating unforgettable dining experiences, Kage thrives on ensuring every guest receives exceptional service and upholds the highest standards. Whether it’s engaging with customers to gather valuable feedback or skillfully managing stock levels and profitability, Kage’s attention to detail and commitment to excellence shine through. Previously, as an assistant food & beverage manager at Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel, he immersed himself in the vibrant world of hospitality, embracing the challenges and joys of operations management. With a Bachelor’s degree in Business & Entrepreneurship, Kage combines his expertise with a love for Formula 1, fixed-gear cycling, savoring fine whiskies, and sharing laughs over board games.

Donal Ennis

General Manager

The ever-affable Donal is the man about house at Honjo as well as the noisy downstairs neighbour TMK. Hailing from Ireland, Donal studied Hotel Management at the Commence Shannon College and began working at 4 and 5 star hotels in his home country before heading to London, UK to gain further experience. From there he realized his true passion for F&B and travel, a calling that eventually took him out to Hong Kong and Pirata Group. Part of the founding team at Honjo, Donal has risen quickly due to his friendly attitude and sterling work ethic to become GM. Driven by his love of people and sharing great stories over a meal, Donal brings his all everyday and looks forward to hosting you all for years to come.
